Looking for a healthy game day meal? Well look no further! My barbecue recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free, and paleo. (If you skip out on the natural sweetener it’s also whole30 compliant.) Typical barbecue has so much added sugar not only from the sugar you actually add, but also the ketchup – that’s why I love primal kitchen’s organic unsweetened ketchup. Using this unsweetened ketchup allows me to control not only how much sugar I am adding to the dish, but also what kind of sugar. This recipe is super simple and can be froze for future meals too! It’s also very versatile. Here are just a few fun ways to serve this classic game day meal:
Barbecue + Baked Sweet Potato/Baked Potato
Barbecue + Chips (Siete Tortilla Chips or Thrive Organic Avocado Oil Potato Chips)
Barbecue + GF Bun/Bread
Game Day Barbecue

Add remaining ingredients to make sauce, cook until thickened.
